This virtual gallery displays a large sample of the art that Gillian Mann produced over her career. From the late 1970s to 1989, the most influential factor in shaping Gillian's work was the impact of feminism. From this explicitly feminist protest, phrased in mythology, she turned to a critique of power in the 1990s, built out of the imagery of violence and suffering from throughout the Western art historical tradition.
